THE RESIDENCE MEAL PLAN

Lister Hall and Peter Lougheed Hall have a meal plan that provides residents with a variety of nutritious options and comfort foods. Residents can focus on studying and adjusting to university life instead of grocery shopping, meal planning, and washing dishes.

The meal plan is a program for residents of Lister Hall and Peter Lougheed Hall, though there are voluntary options for non-residents to take advantage of the meal plan as well.

HOW WILL MY MEAL PLAN WORK?

Simply tap your ONEcard at the entrance to gain access to the dining location, where you can help yourself to a variety of choices. You can eat as much or as little as you choose and come back as many times as you like throughout the day. If you are on the 7 day unlimited plan in Lister Residence, you have access as often as you wish during operating hours, every day of the week. If you have a 5 day unlimited plan in Lister Residence, you can enter the dining hall as often as you wish during operating hours from Monday to Friday.

SELECTING YOUR MEAL PLAN

The Lister meal plan allows you to eat as much or as little as you wish during designated meal periods at the Lister Dining Hall and Peter Lougheed Dining Hall. You can choose between a 5-day unlimited access* meal plan, or a 7 day unlimited access* meal plan. Each plan also comes with $300 meal plan flex funds to use at select locations across campus (see map below).

Fees for the meal plan are paid at the beginning of the academic term, and you will use your ONEcard for meal plan flex purchases only. Unused meal plan flex funds stay on your ONEcard and do not expire.

When selecting your meal plan level, take into consideration what type of appetite you have! Please note that some residences with meal plans have facilities where students can prepare snacks (kitchenettes with microwaves, limited number of full kitchens) but these are not intended for regular preparation of full meals.

*unlimited access means you can enter the dining hall(s) and eat as much or as little as you wish during the posted meal periods. The dining halls do not operate 24/7. Hours of operation will be posted before the start of the academic term.
