Laundry

Students doing laundry residence

Residence Services, with our partner Sparkle Solutions, have installed new laundry machines in all UAlberta residences.

Laundry machines accept ONEcard Cash for payment. You can check your balance and add funds to your ONEcard Cash account online with a credit card or at a number of locations in person. Visit the ONEcard website for details.

Detailed instructions for machine use are posted in all laundry rooms. While you're there, sign up for text alerts so you'll know when your cycle is done or when machines are available!

Expectations for using the laundry facilities will be discussed at your residence meetings. However, laundry may not be done during quiet hours.

Note: if you feel that you have been mistakenly charged for laundry service, you are able to submit a claim for a refund to your ONEcard. Visit the laundry section of the ONEcard website and follow the steps as outlined.

How to use laundry

  1. Download the LaundryCat app
  2. Add funds to your ONEcard online or at the ONEcard office.
  3. Wash cycle: $2 / dry cycle: $1.75
  4. Be courteous of your neighbours. Clean the lint trap after each dry cycle and be timely removing your laundry once it is complete.

You can use the LaundryCat app to pay, check machine availability, and be notified when laundry cycles are complete. Please view the laundry instructions or troubleshooting guide if you're having any difficulties.

Can't download the app?

Pick up a Sparkle Express laundry card from Student & Guest Services (Lister Centre and International House) or at the Infolink ONEcard Service Centre (HUB Mall). Please note, this card will not debit from your ONEcard account and funds must be added as indicated.
