International Resources

International Services Centre

The International Services Centre is located at 142 Telus Centre. Through its programs and services, the centre helps to encourage an international dimension on campus while providing vital assistance to the international students enrolled at UAlberta. Housed in the centre are two key programs that welcome volunteers: International Student Services and the Global Education Program (headquarters).

International Student Services

International Student Services provides a range of services to the international student community, including students in degree programs, incoming exchange students, visiting students and English Language Program (ELP) students. Services provided include: orientation, advising, emergency loans and bursaries, administrative assistance, advocacy, social events, the peer program, and more.

Global Education Program (at the International Services Centre)

The Global Education Program (GEP) provides global leadership development programs in International House and organizes and sponsors campus-wide events throughout the year. International Week, GEP's main annual event, is the largest annual extra-curricular educational event on campus. The week explores local and international perspectives on global issues. GEP also runs a program through which you can support a refugee student, provides opportunities to participate in a competition in which you can present solutions to global issues, and offers the Certificate in International Learning—a credential you can earn in addition to your degree.

Education Abroad Program

Finally, the Education Abroad Program (EAP) administers over 100 formal study and work opportunities with 35 countries around the world and universities in Canada. Be sure to take a look at the Education Abroad Resource Library (EARL) which is located at 8920 HUB Mall. Visit University of Alberta International online for more information.
